Meet
Monica Wright

I write creative nonfiction that evokes emotion, sparks curiosity, and reflects growth.

For forty years, I worked as a speech-language pathologist, writing about others. Now retired and in a new chapter of life, I’ve turned that lens inward to explore loss, caregiving, and the unexpected ways life reshapes itself after profound absence.

Some call this the golden hour of life—a time sharpened by both urgency and clarity. I think of it as my third act: a season for meaning-making and reflection.

Writing has helped me relearn how to live with purpose. I want to be part of a cultural movement that’s learning how to talk about—and embrace—mortality.

This is where I share my stories, in hopes they resonate with others.
Feel free to reach out. I’d love to know what speaks to you.
